FHV Driver Training: Student Attendance Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to outline the attendance requirements for students enrolled in courses at FHV Driver Training. Consistent attendance is crucial for successful course completion and certification.

2. Attendance Requirements

  • Training Plan Compliance: Students are required to attend all scheduled training sessions as outlined in the training plan, advertising materials, brochures, or any other official communications. This includes any information provided online.

  • Course Duration: Course durations are specified in our training materials. For instance, if a course is advertised to run for 5 days, attendance for the full duration is expected. Classes generally run from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

  • School Discretion: FHV Driver Training reserves the right to modify course durations and daily schedules at its discretion. If adjustments are necessary, students will be informed accordingly. These changes are non-negotiable, and students must comply with the revised schedule.

3. Consequences of Non-Attendance

  • Assessment Eligibility: Failure to attend the required hours may result in the student being ineligible to complete the course assessment.

  • Catch-Up Responsibility: It is the student’s responsibility to catch up on any missed content. A pre-assessment will be conducted on the last day of training to ensure readiness for the final assessment.

  • Final Assessment: The final assessment date and time are subject to change, and it is the student’s responsibility to be aware of these changes. If a student fails the pre-assessment, they will not be allowed to proceed to the final assessment.

  • Reassessment Fee: Students who do not pass the pre-assessment will need to reschedule their final assessment. An additional fee will apply for reassessment.

4. Communication

  • Notification of Changes: Any changes to course schedules or assessment dates will be communicated to students promptly. Students are responsible for staying informed about these changes and ensuring they meet all attendance and assessment requirements.

5. Compliance

  • Adherence to Policy: By enrolling in a course at FHV Driver Training, students agree to comply with this attendance policy. Non-compliance may impact their ability to complete the course and obtain certification.
