How Truck Training Works

Everything You Need to Know Before Booking

Thinking of getting your truck licence? Here’s a clear step-by-step guide explaining how the Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment (HVCBA) system works in NSW, and how we run training at our facility.

✅ Step 1: Complete the Knowledge Test

Before you can begin truck driver training, you’ll need to:

  1. Visit Service NSW and complete your Heavy Vehicle Knowledge Test.

  2. Once you pass, you’ll receive your Heavy Vehicle Logbook and a User Guide.
These documents are essential – no RTO can commence training without them.

✅ Step 2: Book With a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)

Once you have your logbook and guide, you are free to book with any accredited RTO in NSW — including us.

To book your training with us:

  • Call or email our team

  • Choose your preferred date

  • Make payment

  • You’re now ready to begin your practical training!
