Course Structure – 11 Units of Competency
The Heavy Vehicle specialisation requires successful completion of 11 units comprising 5 core units and 6 elective units.
The Heavy Vehicle specialisation also requires one applicable Group D driving industry unit. The unit selected will depend on the relevant heavy vehicle class and training pathway.
One additional general elective is selected in accordance with the TLI41225 qualification packaging rules and FHV's approved training program.

NSW Driving Instructor Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Hold a current unrestricted Australian driver licence.
- Meet the required driving experience for the licence class in which you intend to instruct.
- Meet Transport for NSW suitability requirements.

- Obtain a Letter of Eligibility.
