WHITE CARD + TRAFFIC CONTROLLER + IMPLEMENT TRAFFIC CONTROL PLANS COMBO

 

This skillset covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.

Secondly, addresses the skills and knowledge to work in traffic controller in a temporary traffic management context. For individuals who would like to work in traffic controlling.

Thirdly, addresses the skills and knowledge to work in traffic management implementation operations, for individuals who work in traffic management implementer contexts, and who hold some responsibility for supervising others.

This is covered within a 4-days (28 hours) face to face delivery within a classroom with an experience trainer/assessor.

$650  $468 This includes the safework NSW FEE of $75.

+ $80 Practical fee to complete your course and get you to work.

Entry Requirements

No entry requirement is specified by training.gov.au and/or by Safe Work NSW.

However, the minimum age requirement to undertake this course is 17 years of age for traffic control skill set and implement traffic control skill set.

Course Structure

Day 1: Must arrive on RTO premises 7:30am sharp.

  • Between the hours of 7:30am till 8am the student is required to do the following:
    • must present 100 points of ID and complete EOI Form provided by trainer.
    • must complete an enrolment form (if they haven’t prior)
    • must complete an LLN Test (if they haven’t prior)
  • 8am Session starts (theory)
  • 10:15am tea break
  • 10:30am Session re-commences.
  • 12pm lunch break
  • 12:45pm Session re-commences.
  • 3pm Session End students that are found competent receive (SOT)

Day 2: Must arrive on RTO premises at 8am sharp

  • 8am Session starts (theory)
  • 10:15am tea break
  • 10:30am Session re-commences.
  • 12pm lunch break
  • 12:45pm Practical Session
  • 3pm Session End

Day 3: Must arrive on RTO premises at 8am sharp

  • 8am Session starts (theory)
  • 10:15am tea break
  • 10:30am Session re-commences.
  • 12pm lunch break
  • 12:45pm Practical Session
  • 3pm Session End

Day 4: Must arrive on RTO premises at 8am sharp

  • 8am Session starts Student is required to complete an EOI form
  • 10:15am tea break
  • 10:30am Live Practical Assessment starts.
  • 12pm lunch break
  • 12:45pm Re-commence Live Practical Assessment
  • 3pm Session End students that are found competent receive (SOC)

Additional Information

For student to be able to undertake Traffic Control and Implement Traffic Control live practical assessment must hold and present a White Card. The white card becomes void if you haven’t carried out construction work for two consecutive years or more

This Unit of competency is licenced by Safe Work NSW.

 Special arrangements for evidence of identity Special arrangements for EOI apply to the following groups:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
  • school sector
  • overseas visitors recently arrived in Australia (less than six weeks).

Refer to appendix A for further information on the special arrangements for EOI.

In addition to these special arrangements, exception to the EOI requirements may apply to ‘persons at risk’. Such exception will be dealt with on a case-bycase basis.
